Huge thank-you to Mark Forbes for his donation. Thanks to him our first day in Tokyo was filled with amazing food. We went to Saishoku Kenbi for a delicious and filling lunch. Then later on we went for Turkish food (Yes, Turkish food in Tokyo)

 

 

Thank you so much to Bryce Kehoe for the donation.   We used his donation to see some of the sites in Bago, Myanmar. We visited one of the reclining Buddhas, a few Monasteries, and a couple Pagodas, including the Shwemawdaw Paya Pagoda. Thank you so much!!

Thank you Amber. We received this donation with a note saying to go and treat ourselves to a nice meal. We did just that and went to Govinda Vegan/Vegetarian Restaurant in Bangkok. Mmmmmmm so good!

Thank you so much to Rose Marie and Rachel for the donation. We used the donation to treat ourselves to a nice guesthouse in Bangkok. After a long train ride this was super nice.

We used it to care for a couple of our adorable pups at Elephant Nature Park Dogs Their donation will go straight into covering the costs of caring for the dogs: food, housing, medicine, and vet bills… We also named the 2 cuties after them…..

Thanks so much to Maria Di Giantommaso for her donation!! We went to our favourite Vegan/Vegetarian restaurant in Bangkok, ETHOS!!!! We had a Veggie Burger, Fried Morning Glory and Spaghetti and “Meat” Balls!!!

Thanks so much to Erika Hanchar and Ryan Rowell for the donation. We decided to use the donation for a nice hotel. After a 16 hour train ride to Bangkok and then a 12 hour bus ride to Phuket, it was great to go somewhere nice. Thanks guys!!!!

      Hey Phoebe,
      thanks, we thought it was a good idea too. It’s always nice to treat yourself every once in a while when you’re traveling on a budget. We’ve been very fortunate with the donations. We have a lot of great people in our lives!

    This idea is fantastic! I’m impressed at how many donations you’ve had, clearly a lot more than lunch in some cases! I love all the different things the money has gone towards.
