CAPTURE THE COLOUR Photo Contest
If you haven’t heard of it yet, Capture the Colour is a travel photography contest. Bloggers nominate each other to participate, and bloggers choose one photograph for each of these colors: blue, green, yellow, white, and red. We’ve been nominated by http://www.lashworldtour.com/
The Capture the Colour contest, sponsored by Travel Supermarket, will be judged by a group of amazing travel photographers, each of whom has already posted their version of Capture the Colour.
For more details on the contest you can go here: http://www.travelsupermarket.com/c/holidays/capture-the-colour/
WHITE- I really love this photo. I was at the Taj Mahal during a photo shoot and these Indian ladies kept on walking by and laughing at the model. They thought it was so funny to see her in a traditional outfit.
RED- This was one of the best times while travelling. We celebrated HOLI Fest in Jaipur, India. This man and his family lived across from our hotel and invited us out for Holi. Holi is a festival to celebrate the coming of spring. They do so by throwing powdered colour all over each other. It was amazing for photographs.
BLUE- This was taken in the Khan el-Khalili Market in Cairo, Egypt. These are Hamsa amulets. They are used as a sign of protection in many societies throughout history and is believed to provide defense against the evil eye.
GREEN- This photo was taken in Cairo, Egypt, right down the street from Tahrir Square. This wall was painted with people who lost their lives during the revolution in Egypt. They fought for freedom and are considered Martyrs. This wall is dedicated to those people.
YELLOW- We have been volunteering at Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai, Thailand and take frequent Elephant walks. This Elephant has a hole in its ear and today they placed a flower in it. Up close and personal.
