Capture the Colour 2013

Last year Travel Supermarket ran a photo competition where bloggers were asked to submit their favourite photos from around the world that captured the colours blue, yellow, green, red and white.

As soon as I was nominated I took out the hard drives and started to search through the 25,000+ photos I have taken in the past 20 months. It is always great to go back and look at the past 20 months of our trip. Last year I also entered and you can check out the entry here Capture the Colour 2012.

This year there are some great prizes which include £3000 worth of holiday vouchers.

I was nominated by Mindy and Ligeia from Bounding over our Steps. I have picked some of my favourite photos to enter in the contest. Enjoy!!

GREEN

Capture the Colour

Battambang, Cambodia- Drivers assemble the bamboo train for the ride back

RED

Varkala, India- A Kathakali artist gets ready for his performance

 BLUE

Capture the Colour

Giza, Egypt- We visited Egypt a year after the revolution happened. They were still suffering from the lack of tourists. When we were at the Pyramids we were one of maybe 20 tourists there during the day. This boy was walking around trying to sell postcards to make some kind of money.

WHITE

Capture the Colour

Angkor Wat, Cambodia- Groomsman take a moment to relax in between photos.

 YELLOW

Capture the Colour

Chiang Mai, Thailand- This is Lek Chailert. She has been fighting her entire life to protect Elephants around the world. Here she has a moment of down time to relax with one of the younger elephants.

I am nominating the following bloggers/photographers:

Nasuna from Nasuna Photography

Marko and Alex from The Vagabrothers

Laura from Travellers Ink

Diana from D Travels Round

    Hey Cody!
For us, your white photo is absolutely stunning. We’d be interested to see it as a black & white photo, too. Great shots and good luck! : )

Thanks so much. I will send you a Black and White copy through Facebook so you can see it. This is my favourite of the bunch.

Thanks so much Franca. Did you and Dale make it to Cambodia?
