Hostel do Largo, Faro, Portugal

Tucked away on an unassuming street in Faro, Portugal, is a sweet little place called Hostel Do Largo.

After an early morning flight from Porto (Check out our favourite Vegan restaurants in Porto) we hopped into a taxi and arrived at the doorstep in 10 minutes.

Welcome to Hostel do Largo

We were greeted by Wilma, a friendly staff member who immediately showed us around the beautiful building. The building was clean, bright, spacious, and tastefully decorated with vintage pieces.

The building has 7 rooms in total, 5 of which hold 2 bunk beds, another room with 8 beds, and the last a suite with a private washroom and balcony.

After our tour, we settled into our 2 bunk room.

The room, and beds were clean and very comfortable. Each bed has a locker to place your belongings in. There is also access to a washer in the basement, which is such a great bonus as we all know free laundry is such a luxury while travelling.

The shared bathrooms are very well kept and clean, and the shower hot!

Lunch was quickly approaching so we took a 60 second walk to the grocery store (another bonus! Location, location, location) and made some lunch in the open kitchen.

The kitchen at Hostel Do Largo is the stuff hostel goers dreams are made of. Clean, spacious, organized, and breakfast included!

Hostel do Largo Kitchen

We loved making lunch and dinner in the space, and loved breakfast on the rooftop even more! I enjoyed soy lattes daily with fresh fruit and toast.

There is also an outside area on the main floor attached to the kitchen to enjoy your meals or just lounge and read.

The rooftop is set up with a few table and chair sets, and a comfortable bean bag chair set for those who plan on chilling for a long while.

If you’re interested in heading into town, it is a 5 minute walk away from the hostel. There is plenty of shopping, food, and drinks to choose from, and a bus that goes directly to the beach from town as well.

The best part of our stay at Hostel Do Largo is that it was peaceful one.

Our sleep was never disturbed and we always felt safe.

Hostel Do Largo is a perfect place to stay for the location, comfort, and peace of mind.
