Paradise Koh Yao Boutique Beach Resort & Spa

Paradise Koh Yao Boutique Beach Resort & Spa is located on the beautiful tropical island of Koh Yao Noi, in  popular Phang Nga Bay, famous for it’s unique limestone formations and breathtaking views.
This beautiful resort is located right on a sandy beach away from the major tourist spots of Phuket and Krabi.

Paradise Koh Yao

The View from the Beach

We arrived at Yacht Haven Marina in Phuket an hour early and made our way to Paradise Koh Yao Boutique Beach Resort & Spa‘s office. Once a few more guests showed up and the speed boat arrived we were wisked off to the  resort.

It was a bumpy (but fun) One hour boat ride to the island. As soon as we docked the staff were there to greet us. We were escorted to the main office to check in.

CHECK IN
Upon arriving to check in we were invited to have a seat at one of the 4 desks and were offered a cold welcome drink. We filled in the standard form of all hotels and provided our passports to be copied.

Once our passports were returned we hopped on a mini cart and were taken to the stairway that led up to our room.

JACUZZI STUDIO
A staff member showed us to our room, gave us a full tour, and pointed out all the bits and bobs that power the room to make it a comfortable stay for us.

Our room was nothing short of a gorgeous tropical paradise. We walked into a nature lovers dream, and found it difficult to leave our room.

Paradise Koh Yao

The comfy bed

Neutral earthy tones, high ceilings, bamboo blinds, wood furniture, a very comfortable bed with a canopy mosquito net hanging from the ceiling, and a lot of natural light.

Our Room with a view

Our room did have air conditioning but we preferred the over head ceiling fan for a more breezy jungle feel and less energy spent.

The room also included a flat screen tv with plenty of channels, a mini bar and fridge, a day bed with plenty of pillows to lounge on, a work desk, a vanity mirror and stool, and a safety deposit box.

BALCONY
Palm trees, the Andaman Sea, Oriental Pied Horn Bills, Geckos hanging out on the walls, and the sounds of nature; with these kinds of views and sounds from our balcony it was difficult to step back inside.

We swung a few hours away on the lovely swing getting back to nature.

BATHROOM
Always my favorite part, Our bathroom was partially open air. The sink sits in the foyer by the front door.
The toilet, shower, and jacuzzi are separate in a room of their own. Spacious and tropical, the rain shower is always hot and the water abundant.

Paradise Koh Yao Bathroom

One of the greatest bathrooms so far

The jacuzzi is perfect to return to after a long day out, or a long day in. Open the large wooden windows for a beautiful view of the surrounding grounds or watch the stars come out.

How can you not smile while soaking in a bubble jet jacuzzi in jungle surroundings?

POOL
Steps away from the Andaman Sea, The pool is Beautiful and large, inviting you to take a cool dip.

The Pool at Paradise Koh Yao

Don’t want to head into the Salt Water, there is always the pool.

BEACH
A beautiful private beach facing Phang Nga Bay. Hang around in one of the beach hammocks and enjoy a cold tropical cocktail. We chose to wander off on our own to find a more private swimming area around the bend.

RESTAURANT
Paradise Koh Yao Boutique Beach Resort & Spa has 2 restaurants.
The main restaurant which serves continental and Thai dishes, also servesa great breakfast (included in the room rate) daily from 7:30am-10:30am

Al Fresco Restaurant serves Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.
We dined at both restaurants and the food was excellent at both.

COMPLIMENTARY BEACH SHUTTLE
Paradise Koh Yao Boutique Beach Resort & Spa also provides a daily complimentary shuttle boat service (11am departure) to Koh Phak Bia, a tropical beach surrounded by limestone rock formations.

As part of Paradise Koh Yao Boutique Beach Resort & Spa‘s commitment to the community, the resort employs 95% of their staff from the island.

Cody loving our stay

We had an incredibly enjoyable and relaxing stay at Paradise Koh Yao Boutique Beach Resort & Spa. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the grounds and our room were incredibly beautiful.

We recommend the resort to those looking for the ultimate dream holiday, or to people who have a little more time to spare while visiting Phuket, Thailand, and would like to get away for a few days from the busy tourist areas of the city.

I am heading to Southeast Asia at the end of January and this is a place I would really like to stay at.
Guess I will go and book a few night right now. I like the idea of a bathroom with a view.

Hey Nathan, Paradise Koh Yao was a great place to stay.
It was one of the most relaxing hotels we have stayed at yet on our trip.
We are huge fans of nice washrooms and this one is easily the nicest we have seen so far.
      Enjoy your stay!!
