Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit

Arriving from the Bangkok airport, we took the BTS and exited at Nana station.

Once we got to the lower level, we spotted Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit‘s art deco building immediately.

Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit

Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit is a five star luxury hotel combining French elegance and Thai hospitality. Located in our favourite spot of Bangkok, right in the middle of everything, the Sukhumvit area is full of life and energy. There are great restaurants, bars, and entertainment all around, and more shopping than you can handle.

We arrived at the front door and were greeted. Someone took our bags and we were taken to the 31st floor for a private check in as we were upgraded to club Millesime.

Our check in was quick and efficient, and the welcome drinks and refreshing towels were a nice touch.

Our room was one of the 75 upgraded rooms; Another one of  the perks of being upgraded to Club Mellesime. We were escorted to room 1710, and our bags came shortly after.
The first thing we noticed was the view. Beautiful BKK in all it’s glory. A beautiful city view of sky rises, nightlife, and twinkling lights. We pulled ourselves away from our sky view, and looked around our sophisticated room.
Our Millesime King Room was warm and elegant, with marble and wooden floors, a day bed, a comfortable working station, and a great entertainment system, complete with a Bose Wave sound system and an ipod docking station.
And the bed. The lovely, lovely bed. One of the best sleeps we have EVER had. We were also provided with a pillow menu, but we didn’t have to make any changes, as our pillows were perfect fluffy heaven.

Our bathroom was also beautiful and fully stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Just in case you forget anything on your travels, Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit has it covered.

From toothbrushes and toothpaste, to nail files and body scrubbers, to a blow dryer and comb, to a comfortable bath robe you won’t want to slip out of.

With the upgrade to Millesime club comes many privileges.

We had the option of a personal butler, but we opted out. But what we did take advantage of, was the complimentary afternoon tea, and complimentary cocktails and snacks from 5pm to 7pm. The exclusive lounge is a great comfortable place to sit and relax, catch up on some news on the large plasma television, get some work done (which we did) or just sit and enjoy the view from the 31st floor, and sip on some tea, or in my case a cosmopolitan, or two.

A big beautiful breakfast is also served on the 31st floor exclusively for club Millesime guests. There is an amazing spread of fresh breads, fresh fruit and juices, salads, wonderful coffee, and much more.

Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit has a floor dedicated to wellness. Le Spa with L’Occitane is a luxurious spa that combines Medeterranian-French philosophies with the ancient art of Thai massage for a personal spa experience.

The gym is open 24 hours, and the swimming pool not only offers a cocktail bar, but also a mineral water bar with waters from around the world, and a healthy menu for health conscious individuals.

The beautiful eco friendly Christmas tree in the lobby. Every evening the candles in the vases were lit at sundown.

Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit has the perfect combination of French luxury and Thai hospitality. The service was outstanding, our stay was unforgettable, and we look forward to returning.
